Indulge in Nostalgia
Let us take you on a journey through Klagenfurt am Wörthersee! Departure in an open-topped Steyr vintage bus from the year 1951, followed by a cruise on the “Loretto” nostalgia ship leaving from the eastern bay of lake Wörthersee. The journey through time ends with a visit to the “Old Klagenfurt” exhibition.

Old Town Magic Festival

This is the big city festival in Klagenfurt! – Magicians, stiltwalkers, jugglers on the streets and in the alleyways, live bands on the squares and thousands of people strolling around are amazed by the magic of the spectacle unfolding before their eyes in Klagenfurt’s old town centre.
In the meantime, visitors can enjoy a delicious snack at one of the many open-air gastronomy stands, or have a cool drink at one of the numerous outdoor bars, then enjoy rummaging around at one of the largest flea markets and jumble sales in Austria – exclusively at the Old Town Magic Festival!

Wörthersee Trail

 

The „Wörthersee Trail“, a new running and hiking event, is taking place in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. Alongside the beautiful Wörthersee hiking trail participants can either master a 55 km ultrarun or a 25 km hiking marathon.

The Magic of Christmas at Klagenfurt´s Christmas Market

 

For many of us, the most beautiful time of the year begins in November, for it is then that the Christkindlmarkt, Klagenfurt´s Christmas Market, once again opens its doors! From November 21st to December 24th 2009, young and old can enjoy the unique flair of this seasonal event, open daily. The stylish, rustic atmosphere, the attractive programme of fringe events for all ages along with the rich variety of foods and drinks that are available have been turning any visit to the Klagenfurt Christmas Market into a memorable experience for over 15 years.
